Wireless Range Extender Specifications

• Range Extender acts as a “repeater” between the gateway and the sensor node when the node is out of range of the gateway, allowing sensors to be deployed outside their normal range.
• Range Extenders can also be used when there is interference from physical objects (such as thick walls) to add additional attenuation to the radio signals.
• Two Range extenders can be used in series to pass the data from the first repeater, near the sensor transceiver node, to the second repeater that is closer to the gateway. Up to 32 Range Extenders may be used on one network.
• No configuration required – plug extender into a wall outlet and it will start bridging the distance from nodes that are out of range to the gateway.
• 5V input required. Range Extender comes with a 120VAC to 5VDC wall transformer.
• Range Extenders are displayed on the Leap Sensor Manager user interface as nodes (with no sensor data).
• Standard Range Extender comes with a long antenna to maximize transmission range.
