    • Phase IV’s standard strain sensor – custom Micro Measurements Vishay N2K-06-s5205K-10K/DG/E5 high-resistance strain sensor.
    • Full-bridge sensor – As a full-bridge sensor, the sensor is temperature compensated at the strain sensor itself.  No electronics or software temperature compensation is needed – on all types of materials.
    • Measured Gage Factor – 1.96.
    • Advanced Sensors – N2K gages are offered with epoxy encapsulation as standard. An open-faced version can be supplied upon request.
    • Maximum strain value – rated for +/- 2000 u-strain at 100,000+ cycles.
    • Temperature ratings – N2K type strain sensors have a static and dynamic temperature range of -100°F to +200°F (-75°C to +205°C).  High Temperature N5K version available in rated to 500°F (260°C). (3 month lead time).
    • Adhesive – Micro Measurements MBond 610 is recommended epoxy adhesive to attach the strain sensorsings.  This epoxy requires an elevated temperature cure. Data sheet
    • Custom tether cable – Phase IV designed custom flex cable that facilitates easy installation of the strain sensor and connection to the RFID electronics.
    • Electronics Temperature Ratings –  212°F (100°C) maximum temperature for normal read distance. 250°F (120°C) maximum temperature with reduced read distance. -40°C (-40°F) lowest operating temperature.  Electronics Survival Temperature 392°F (200°C) max.
