The Leap ultra-low temperature sensor system gives continuous remote monitoring of the internal temperature of your ultra-low temperature (ULT) freezer (-80C). Set alerts via phone, text, or email to know about issues even if you’re not on-site. Streamline auditing processes. Ideal for temperature-critical applications such as laboratories, medical facilities, vaccine storage, medicine storage.

This remote monitoring system for ULT freezers is designed with key features that are only available in the Leap product line:

High accuracy sensing in the calibrated range from -80C to 5C. Calibration target temperatures are -80C, -65C, and +5C.
Optional door-open sensor.

Note: This temperature sensor is connected to a cable that should not be bent when below -50C.

Wireless Ultra-Low Temperature Freezer Sensor Specifications

Temperature Sensor & Cable Specifications

Temperature Probe Range: calibrated at the target temperatures of -80C, -65C, and +5C.
Temperature Accuracy (typical): +/- 1.0C in the calibrated range.
- Calibration certificates are available as an option.
Cable length: 3-foot and 6-foot standard lengths.
Probe can read from -196C to +450C (but the standard product is calibrated and verified for accuracy only in the -80C to +5C range).
- PFA cable is rated to a narrower range of -200C to +250C.
- Cable should not be bent when it is below -50C.
Cable and probe connect to the enclosure with a cable gland. The temperature cable/probe assembly is not detachable to assure the calibrated probe stays with the node that it was calibrated with.
Temperature Sensing Probe Tip
- Temperature sensing element is a RTD 100 ohm Class A PT100 sensor.
- Temperature sensor is wired using 3-wire configuration to factor-out changes in cable resistance to assure an accurate temperature reading is taken at the probe tip.
- Metal probe tip size: 3/16 inch diameter, 1.3 inches long.

Optional Door-Open Sensor

Industrial door-open sensor (optional) transmits every time door is opened, streamlining tracking as well as helping to troubleshoot temperature alerts. Simple installation assures long-term reliable operation.

Other Features
