This sensor uses the 4th generation of the world's first RFID sensor chip - the same chip that is used by many commercial aircraft for tire and temperature monitoring. This ultra-miniature battery-free RFID pressure/vacuum and temperature sensor is ideal for embedding inside structures such as honeycomb carbon fiber. The low frequency and magnetic radio coupling allows it to read through many materials, such as carbon fiber, that other radio frequencies can't penetrate.
