This sensor takes a vibration reading every 10 minutes for an interval of 5 seconds.  (This timing can be adjusted to your needs).  During the sampling interval, ~2500 g-force readings will be taken on each of the 3 axis (X, Y, & Z).  It reports average and maximum g-force vibration on each axis (see screen shot to the left).  This sensor is ideal for determining normal equipment vibration, then setting alarm limits above normal vibration levels.  Increased machine vibration is an excellent predictor of failure.  High vibration alerts signal that maintenance is needed before expensive unscheduled downtime occurs.

  • Samples machine vibration and reports maximum G-force and average G-force in the X, Y, and Z direction.
  • User selectable G-force ranges of 2G, 4G, and 8G.  A high-pass filter may also be applied to “filter out gravity g-force”.
  • Sensor orientation in the X, Y, and Z axis may also be determined from g-force readings with the high-pass filter turned off.
  • Standard G-force sampling:  Over a user-set sampling interval, ~2500 vibration readings will be taken on each axix.  The sensor will determine and report the average and maximum G-force in the X, Y, and Z axis.  This will occur at a “heart beat” interval that is user-set.  Other sampling timing may be factory programmed, upon request.
  • Rugged metal industrial enclosure.  Water and dust proof.  IP65.
  • Battery Life:  Appropriately 3 to 5  years when sampling and transmitting at the standard interval – so long that we call these wireless sensors Practically Battery Free™.*
  • Electronics Operating Temperature:  -40° to 85°C (-40° to 185°F)
  • Radio range:  Up to 350 feet in open air.  Repeaters are available to extend range.
  • FCC, IC certified.
  • 915 MHz radio (North America).  Will not interfere with 2.4 GHz WiFi networks.  Contact us if outside North America.
  • Battery:  3V C-sized rugged battery pack designed for high vibration environments.
  • Sensor Size (in inches):  3.49 x 2.44 x 1.33 inches.  Antenna: 6 to 8 inches long.  Optional mounting tabs extend another 0.5 inches from both the top and bottom of the sensor.
