Fast Prototyping and Proof-of-Concept Development
To facilitate product development or demonstrate a solution, Phase IV Engineering can fast prototype new sensor solutions for Proof-of-Concept to prove that the proposed solution meets your needs. In high-risk solutions, a Proof-of-Concept helps us to work closely with you to gather and define requirements. It allows us to identify problems early so that we can refine the solution through various stages until it is eventually implemented into the final product. We find that this approach generally reduces the overall development costs and drastically reduces the development time of the final hardware and an optimized sensing solution.

Learn more about our Ultra Miniature Battery-Free Wireless Sensing and extensive capability in both active and passive wireless sensing on our Technology page. Our active work covers the spectrum from 125 kHz to 2.45 GHz. We have active beacon, 2-way and data logging systems. Phase IV Engineering also develops and manufactures the readers that couple these systems to user application programs.
In the passive sensing domain we primarily work in the 134 KHz range, that is preferred by animal identification and sensing. We have developed a patented RFID Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) that has read/write, temperature monitoring and a discrete sensor interface, all powered solely by RF. This ASIC is the core of a number of systems that are RF powered, remotely monitored and provide real-time data and information.
